The figure was up 3.4 per cent year-on-year.\u00a0For July, the government reported that revenue from gaming taxes reached MOP8.11bn (US$1bn), slightly behind the figure reported in <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-gaming-tax-revenue-slightly-up-in-first-half-of-the-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">June (MOP8.16bn &#8211; US$1bn)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government\u2019s original 2025 budget plan forecast full-year gaming tax revenue of MOP93.12bn (US$11.52bn). The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/in-july-macau-ggr-reaches-highest-monthly-total-since-the-pandemic\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/in-july-macau-ggr-reaches-highest-monthly-total-since-the-pandemic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MOP22.13bn (US$2.73bn)&nbsp;in July<\/a>, an increase of 19 per cent in year-on-year terms and a 5 per cent rise compared to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-rises-19-year-over-year-in-june\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">June\u2019s MOP21.06bn (US$2.60bn)<\/a>. It was the best monthly performance since January 2020, just before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cumulatively, Macau\u2019s GGR for the first seven months of 2025 was MOP140.8bn (US$17.4bn), up 6.46 per cent year-on-year.
