Hong Kong.- The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has announced the appointment of Sarena Lin<\/strong> as chief transformation officer (CTO) with effect from August 25, 2025. Lin will be a member of the Board of Management and will report directly to the HKJC\u2019s chief executive officer, Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the club\u2019s press release, Lin will lead HKJC\u2019s newly established Transformation Office<\/strong>, where she will drive the \u201cholistic transformation of the club and strengthen its capabilities as a customer-centric, agile, efficient and data-driven sports organisation that contributes to the betterment of society.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her responsibilities<\/strong> include designing the transformation roadmap, leading cross-divisional initiatives and embedding sustainable changes across the organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cLin is a dynamic and seasoned leader with extensive experience in transformation, human resources and corporate strategy<\/strong> across Asia, Europe and the Americas. She has led global transformations for large-scale organisations and has served on multiple public and private boards,\u201d the club said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining HKJC, Lin was chief transformation and talent officer at Bayer, where she led a global transformation programme focused on operating model redesign, leadership development and cultural change. Previously, she served as president of Elanco USA. She has also held leadership roles at Cargill and was a partner at McKinsey & Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lin holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master in International Relations degree from Yale University, as well as a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
