EBITDA increased by 21 per cent quarter-on-quarter to PHP2.5bn (US$44.1m), aided by growth in mass gaming and reduced costs and expenses. EBITDA for the first half was up 11 per cent rise in comparison to the same period 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company reported net revenue of\u00a0 PHP9.2bn (US$163m) for the April-June period while Newport World Resorts generated <strong>gross gaming revenue <\/strong>of PHP7.5bn (US$132m), a slight decline from PHP7.9bn (US$139m) in Q1. Non-gaming revenue remained stable at PHP1.7bn (US$30m) with 90 per cent hotel occupancy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"356\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/newport-world-resorts-900x356.jpg\" alt=\"Newport World Resorts.\" class=\"wp-image-777025606\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/newport-world-resorts-900x356.jpg 900w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/newport-world-resorts.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Newport World Resorts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Travellers International parent company <strong>Alliance Global Group (AGI)<\/strong> reported a 39 per cent year-on-year jump in net income to PHP19.2bn (US$339m) in the first six months of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kevin L Tan<\/strong>, AGI president and CEO, said: \u201cAGI delivered strong results in the first half of the year, benefitting from a buoyant domestic economy despite ongoing global uncertainty. Our Group took advantage of pockets of opportunities in the market to boost our residential and retail sales, as well as our office take-up. Our tourism and leisure segments also enjoyed increased activities and occupancy, tapping into the increasing demand for staycations and MICE events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven our spirits segment sustained its recovery in sales, a testament to the strength of its brands that have been expanding their presence in the local and international markets. Our strong performance was also accompanied by ongoing cost-efficiency measures, which we implemented across all our business segments. By managing our costs, we hope to enhance our operating leverage to ensure a more robust growth in profit as the economy further recovers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this week, Newport World Resorts <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/newport-world-resorts-appoints-wee-li-chua-as-chief-digital-and-customer-experience-officer\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/newport-world-resorts-appoints-wee-li-chua-as-chief-digital-and-customer-experience-officer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">named Wee Li Chua<\/a> as its chief digital and customer experience officer. The company described him as a \u201cseasoned professional with over 15 years of experience\u201d.
