South Korea.- Paradise Co<\/strong> has shared its financial results for July. The operator has reported casino sales of KRW75.67bn (US$56.2m)<\/strong>. That\u2019s a rise of 23 per cent year-on-year, but 6.3 per cent behind June\u2019s figure<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table-game<\/strong> sales were KRW71.39 (US$53.1m), up 25.1 per cent year-on-year. Machine game<\/strong> sales were KRW4.28 (US$3.2m), down 6.1 per cent year-on-year and 10.1 per cent compared to May. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first seven months of the year<\/strong>, cumulative casino revenue reached KRW531.32bn (US$394.7m), a 10.2 per cent increase compared to the January-July period in 2024. The growth was driven by table games, which generated KRW501.03bn (US$372.2m), up 10.9 per cent year-on-year, while the machine gaming segment declined slightly by 0.3 per cent to KRW30.29bn (US$22.5m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paradise Co operates four casino venues<\/strong>: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City, near the main international airport serving Seoul. It plans to begin construction on a new hotel in Seoul<\/a> with a target opening date in 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 18-floor hotel will have approximately 200 suites and five basement levels<\/strong> offering services for foreign VIPs as part of a strategy to attract more international high-rollers. The cost of the development is estimated between KRW500 (US$360m) and KRW550 (US$400m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
