Singapore\u2019s Gambling Regulatory Authority has imposed a US$77,000 fine on Marina Bay Sands for running unapproved casino promotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Singapore.- Marina Bay Sands has been fined SGD100,000 (US$77,300) by the city-state\u2019s Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) for promoting casino-related activities without prior regulatory approval. The infraction, a breach of Regulation 3(1)(c) under the Casino Control (Advertising) Regulations 2010, is the company\u2019s first regulatory penalty since the financial year 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GRA did not disclose specific details about the unapproved promotion, but reaffirmed that all casino marketing activities require prior authorisation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MBS 2.0 a new development phase inaugurated in July 2025<\/a> will see the construction of a 55-storey tower with 570 luxury suites<\/a>, expanded gaming floors, a 15,000-seat arena, and an extensive MICE venue, all slated for completion by 2030 and opening in early 2031.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort has also been accelerating its technological transformation. In June, it deployed a fleet of 12 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to handle internal deliveries, cutting manpower needs. A further five AMRs are expected to be added by the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n
