Macau\u2019s VIP baccarat revenue was MOP16.33bn (US$2.02bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ)<\/strong> has reported that VIP baccarat<\/strong> gaming revenue was up 13 per cent quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter of the year at MOP16.33bn (US$2.02bn). In year-on-year terms, the figure was up 22.7 per cent.\u00a0VIP baccarat accounted for 26.7 per cent of all GGR in the quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass-market revenue<\/strong> accounted for 73.3 per cent of the MOP61.1bn (US$7.58bn) aggregate GGR. Non-VIP Baccarat play revenue reached MOP35.58bn (US$4.4bn), up 2.7 per cent yearly and 3.67 per cent sequentially. Slot machines revenue reached MOP3.51bn\u00a0(US$434m), up by 7.33 per cent quarter-to-quarter and 9.4 per cent yearly. Meanwhile, Live Multi Game revenue came in at MOP1.26bn (US$155.8m), rising by 4 per cent sequentially and 10.88 per cent yearly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, the Macau government lowered its gross gaming revenue (GGR) forecast for this year by 5 per cent<\/a>, from MOP240bn (US$29.8bn) to MOP228bn (US$28.3bn). Andr\u00e9 Cheong Weng Chon<\/strong>, the city\u2019s secretary for administration and justice, made the announcement after the Executive Council reviewed the government\u2019s amended budget plan for 2025. Macau Legislative Assembly<\/strong> passed the 2025 fiscal budget amendment bill<\/a>, which estimates gaming tax revenue of MOP79.8bn (US$9.87bn)<\/strong>, 5 per cent lower than previously expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
