The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation has provided five vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR)<\/strong> has donated patient transport vehicles (PTVs) to five more local government units (LGUs) and institutions<\/strong>. The latest recipients are the municipality of Benito Soliven in Isabela, San Pedro City in Laguna, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Ospital ng Para\u00f1aque, and the Joint Task Force Unit Ilocos (JTUI) Headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the programme launched in February, PAGCOR has donated 35 PTVs to LGUs, hospitals, and frontline agencies. The Office of the President and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office are also distributing PTVs to local government units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco<\/strong> said the donation aims to strengthen the medical and disaster-response capabilities. \u201cEach PTV we turn over is a step closer to making vital medical services more accessible to every Filipino,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Congressman Gus Tambunting<\/strong> welcomed the donation to the Ospital ng Para\u00f1aque and commented: \u201cWith this PTV, our hospital can immediately respond to urgent cases, particularly those in need of immediate referral to larger medical facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGCOR recently provided ten PTVs worth PHP20m (US$354,000)<\/a> to local government units and a state university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
