Casino sales reached KRW34.81bn in the sixth month of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has shared its financial results for the month of June. The company posted casino sales of KRW34.81b (US$25.6m)<\/strong>, down 6 per cent in year-on-year terms but up 13.6 per cent sequentially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table-game revenue was KRW31.60 (US$22.9m), 7.7 per cent behind June 2024\u2019s figures but up 16.6 per cent compared to May 2025<\/a>. Machine game sales were KRW3.21bn (US$2.3m), up 15.3 per cent year-on-year, but 9 per cent down compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first half of the year<\/strong>, aggregate casino sales were up 9 per cent in year-on-year terms to KRW209.86bn (US$152.1m). The casino drop was KRW1.74tn, down 6.2 per cent when compared to last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul, including one in Gangnam, and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. The company operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In November, the casino operator named\u00a0Yoon Doo Hyun\u00a0as president. He served in South Korea\u2019s National Assembly during its 21st term from May 2020 to May 2024 and held the role of\u00a0senior secretary for public relations\u00a0at the Office of the President between 2014 and 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n
