South Korea.- Paradise Co<\/strong> has shared its financial results for June. It\u2019s reported casino sales of KRW82.05bn (US$60.3m). That\u2019s a rise of 41 per cent year-on-year and was flat from the preceding month<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Table-game<\/strong> sales were KRW77.29 (US$52.4m), up 41.6 per cent year-on-year. Machine game<\/strong> sales were KRW4.76 (US$3.5m), up 32.7 per cent year-on-year and 1.9 per cent compared to May. For the first half of the year<\/strong>, casino revenue was KRW456.9bn (US$336m), up 8.7 per cent year-on-year. The drop was KRW3.53tn (US$2.60bn), up 1.6 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paradise Co operates four casino venues<\/strong>: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City, near the main international airport serving Seoul.\u00a0It plans to begin construction on\u00a0a new hotel in Seoul<\/a>\u00a0with a target opening date in 2028. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The 18-floor hotel will have approximately\u00a0200 suites and five basement levels<\/strong>\u00a0offering services for foreign VIPs as part of a strategy to\u00a0attract more international high-rollers. The cost of the development is estimated between KRW500 (US$360m) and KRW550 (US$400m).<\/p>\n\n\n
