Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was MOP21.06bn (US$2.60bn) in June. That\u2019s an increase of 19 per cent in year-on-year terms and was the second-highest monthly figure of the year, following May\u2019s GGR of MOP21.19bn (US$2.62bn)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cumulatively, Macau\u2019s GGR for the first six months of 2025 was MOP118.77bn (US$14.69bn), up 4.4 per cent year-on-year. However, the figure remains 20.5 per cent below pre-pandemic levels (MOP149.50bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citigroup has credited a nine-show concert series by Cantopop icon Jacky Cheung for aiding unseasonally high June visitation<\/a>. Analysts observed a 58 per cent year-on-year rise in premium mass wagers and a 36 per cent increase in average bet size per player. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galaxy Macau, the host venue, saw a sharp rise in foot traffic and maintained a 25 per cent share of the premium mass market. Wynn Palace also benefited, gaining market share. Some operators reportedly distributed concert tickets as incentives for top-tier patrons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
