Six people have been arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

India.- Hyderabad police have arrested six people in an operation against an alleged online fake satta betting operation with the Commissioner\u2019s Task Force and the Amberpet Police Station. The operation allegedly ran from a rented apartment in Bathakammakunta, Bagh Amberpet, and used fake Facebook profiles linked to unverified phone numbers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers say the accused offered \u201cnumber prediction\u201d services, charging registration fees ranging from \u20b91,000 (US$11) to \u20b92,000 (US$23). Fake promotional videos were said to feature staged winners. They say victims were manipulated into placing larger bets, but outcomes were rigged. The group collected money through digital payment platforms, including Google Pay, PhonePe, and other UPI services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those arrested are aged between 23 and 30. All are reportedly from Kagaz Nagar in Telangana. Police reported that the gang had been operating for two months. They seized property worth approximately \u20b92m (US$23,000), including online bank balances, 17 mobile phones, a laptop, a car, a motorcycle, rubber stamps, printed materials and a colour printer. Suspects and seized materials have been transferred to the Amberpet Police Station for investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n
