The Australian regulator says it has requested blocks against seven unlicensed sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Australia.- The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has requested that Australian online service providers (ISPs) block seven more unlicensed online gambling sites for violating the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. The sites are Casiny, CoinPoker, Crown Play, Fafabet9, SlotFred, Smart 93 and Vigor Spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ACMA reported that since it made its first blocking request in November 2019, 1,251 illegal gambling and affiliate websites have been blocked. Around 220 illegal services have pulled out of the Australian market since the ACMA started enforcing new illegal online gambling rules in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian regulator reminded consumers that even if a service looks legitimate, it\u2019s unlikely to have important customer protections. Customers can check if a wagering service is licensed to operate in Australia on its register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACMA recently issued a request to block two gambling websites<\/a> for violations of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001. It also warned four licensed betting operators<\/a>, Buddybet, Ultrabet, VicBet, and Topbet, for breaching rules by sending marketing material to people who registered with BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register (NSER).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
