The estimated\u00a0daily run rate was\u00a0MOP650m (US$80.41m). That\u2019s a decline compared to the previous month&#8217;s MOP684m (US$84.61m) per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts said the figure is &#8220;a very healthy level for shoulder months such as June, seemingly helped by G-Dragon concert as well as the Dragon Boat festival.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts have forecast that in June GGR could increase by 4 to 7 per cent in year-on-year terms. This would lead to second-quarter GGR growth of 3 to 4 per cent year-on-year and 1 to 2 per cent from the previous quarter versus a typical sequential seasonal decrease of 2 to 4 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May, GGR was\u00a0MOP21.19bn (US$2.62bn). That\u2019s an increase of 1.7 per cent\u00a0from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-up-29-7-in-may\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">May 2024<\/a> and 12.4\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-rises-year-over-year-in-april\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">month-on-month<\/a>. It was the city\u2019s best monthly performance post-Covid-19. Cumulatively,\u00a0Macau\u2019s GGR for the first five months of 2025\u00a0was MOP97.7bn (US$12.1bn), up 1.7 per cent year-on-year. The figure was 77 per cent of the same period of 2019 (MOP125.6bn) (US$5.5bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Macau government lowers GGR forecast for 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Macau government has lowered its gross gaming revenue (GGR) forecast for this year by 5 per cent, from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/gaming-in-macau-government-forecasts-29-7bn-in-revenue-for-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MOP240bn (US$ 29.8bn)<\/a>\u00a0to MOP 228bn (US$ 28.3bn).\u00a0Andr\u00e9 Cheong Weng Chon, the city\u2019s secretary for administration and justice, made the announcement after the Executive Council reviewed the government\u2019s amended budget plan for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ho In Mui, the deputy director of the financial services bureau, said the revised budget was based on consideration of many factors, including global economic uncertainties, changes in visitor spending habits and figures for the year to date.
