Macau.- The Public Security Police has reported that 390,422 tourists arrived in Macau during this year\u2019s\u00a0Dragon Boat Festival\u00a0from May 31 to June 2. That’s an increase of 13.88 per cent in year-on-year terms<\/a>. Average daily visitation was 130,140.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Border Gate land crossing with Zhuhai, in the neighbouring province of Guangdong, received nearly 45.5 per cent of visitors at 177,765. Some 74,934 visitors crossed the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (19.2 per cent of arrivals). The crossing at Hengqin Island recorded 62,366 arrivals (16 per cent), Taipa Ferry Terminal 22,925 (5.9 per cent) and Macau International Airport 21,078 (5.4 per cent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau received 12,955,456 <\/strong>visitors in the first four months of the year<\/a>. That\u2019s an increase of 12.9 per cent when compared to last year. Same-day visitors (7,578,976) grew by 23.4 per cent while overnight visitors (5,376,480) rose by 0.8 per cent. The cumulative average length of stay of visitors shortened by 0.1 day year-on-year to 1.1 days in the first four months. The duration of stay for same-day visitors (0.2 day) remained unchanged, while that for overnight visitors (2.3 days) increased by 0.1 day.<\/p>\n\n\n
