The estimated\u00a0daily run rate was\u00a0MOP686m (US$85.3m) during the week of May 19 to 25. That\u2019s an increase of 16 per cent compared to the previous week&#8217;s MOP593m (US$73.7m) per day. Analysts George Choi and Timothy Chau attributed the rise to the opening of the <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/galaxy-entertainment-group-net-revenue-climbs-in-q1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Capella at Galaxy Macau<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts said VIP volume rose by 25 to 30 per cent month-on-month and mass market GGR by about 10 per cent. The VIP hold rate appeared to be higher than the previous week. For the final week of the month, analysts expect GGR to average MOP625m (US$77.7m) per day, up 1 per cent in year-on-year terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Citigroup has raised its May 2025 GGR forecast from MOP21bn (US$2.61bn) to MOP21.25bn (US$2.64bn), which would be a rise of 5 per cent year-on-year and would represent 82 per cent of March 2019 levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April, Macau GGR was MOP18.86bn (US$2.36bn), an increase of 1.7 per cent\u00a0in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-april-ggr-up-26-per-cent-year-on-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">year-on-year terms<\/a> but a dip of 4.1\u00a0per cent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-rises-slightly-in-march\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sequentially<\/a>. GGR was 77.33 per cent of April 2019\u2019s level. For the first four months of 2025, GGR was MOP76.51bn (US$9.54bn), up 0.8 per cent year-on-year. The figure was 23.3 per cent lower than the same period of 2019 (MOP99.74bn) (US$12.44bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Capella at Galaxy Macau<\/strong> is the 10th hotel brand in the portfolio of Galaxy Entertainment Group. It soft-launched in May, and the company anticipates fully opening the property in the next few months.
