Barbour is a former member of the New South Wales (NSW) Casino Control Authority. He has been re-appointed until July 1, 2028, following an initial three-year tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barbour worked as ordinary commissioner of the\u00a0CCC from May 2021 to January 2022 and as chair of the CCC from January 2022 to July 2022. She has been CEO since August 2018. Her new appointment will run until August 23, 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining the CCC in 2015, O&#8217;Farrell served as the executive director of the Queensland Greyhound Racing Industry Commission of Inquiry. She also worked as general manager and director of Legal Services at the Department of Transport and Main Roads and as a solicitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attorney-general and minister for justice and minister for integrity<strong> Deb Frecklington <\/strong>said: &#8220;I am pleased to provide this key integrity agency with continued stability through these reappointments.\u00a0Mr Barbour has served with distinction, has been apolitical and has displayed a highly independent approach to the valued position.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Queensland&#8217;s peak anti-corruption agency is of the utmost importance to everyone, something for our State to be proud of.
