The Philippines.-\u00a0DigiPlus Interactive Corp\u00a0has shared its financial results for the first quarter of the year. Net income was PHP4.2bn (US$75.7m), up 110 per cent\u00a0when\u00a0compared to last year. The company attributed the growth to the strong performance of its flagship platforms and the contribution of new game offerings across BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revenue was up 69 per cent in year-on-year terms to PHP23.06bn (US$415.6m).\u00a0Earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) reached PHP4.59bn (US$82.7m), an increase of 117.9 per cent. The company said this\u00a0was driven\u00a0by operational efficiency, enabling more reinvestment in marketing, product innovation and user experience, and a rationalisation of PAGCOR’s reduction in\u00a0fees for e-games<\/a> from 35 per cent to 30 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n

DigiPlus contributed PHP8.8bn (US$158.59m) in taxes and regulatory fees, an increase of PHP1.9bn (US$34.24m). or 28 per cent, in year-on-year terms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

BingoPlus was launched in 2022 after\u00a0PAGCOR\u00a0approved the\u00a0AB Leisure division\u2019s request<\/a> to begin operations as an electronic games system service provider. On its third anniversary, the platform surpassed 40 million registered users. DigiPlus said: “Since its launch, BingoPlus has evolved into a full-scale digital entertainment super app, offering bingo, sports betting, and live-streamed games.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DigiPlus chairman\u00a0Eusebio Tanco\u00a0said: “DigiPlus aims to bring the success it has established in the Philippines to participate in the thriving digital entertainment and electronic gaming industry globally. Our performance in the first quarter shows that we are building not just for scale, but for long-term value creation. We continuously invest in technology, talent, and trust \u2013 and this is what sets us apart.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
