{"id":777025866,"date":"2025-04-29T09:08:02","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T12:08:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=777025866"},"modified":"2026-04-21T23:27:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T02:27:22","slug":"belle-corp-casino-revenue-rises-in-q1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/belle-corp-casino-revenue-rises-in-q1","title":{"rendered":"Belle Corp casino revenue rises in Q1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The company&#8217;s casino revenue from its share of gaming at City of Dreams Manila rose by 7.8 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The Philippines.- The tourism and leisure developer&nbsp;<strong>Belle Corp<\/strong>, a co-licensee of&nbsp;<strong>City of Dreams<\/strong>&nbsp;in Manila, has reported that casino revenue was up 7.8 per cent year-on-year to PHP432.6m (US$7.7m) in the first quarter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s aggregate net income was up 5.2 per cent year-on-year to PHP462.4m (US$8.22m). Total revenue was down 1.5 per cent year-on-year to PHP1.30bn (US$23.14m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revenue from the lottery services arm,&nbsp;<strong>Pacific Online Systems Corp (POSC)<\/strong>, which leases online betting equipment to the&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pcso-marks-90th-anniversary-with-us1-55m-minimum-lotto-jackpot-prize\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office<\/a>, posted revenue of PHP129.5m (US$2.31m), flat in year-on-year terms. Belle, via Premium Leisure Corp. (PLC), controls 50.1 per cent of POSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Income from real estate activities decreased by 6 per cent to PHP739.7m (US$13.17m). The company issued the statement after an article in the Philippine Daily Inquirer suggested that Belle Corp would be the \u201cmost logical buyer\u201d of City of Dreams if Melco chose to leave the deal under which it operates the gaming area of the integrated resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The article cited unnamed sources saying that Belle would be interested \u201cif the price were right\u201d.
