The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has announced it has maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The confirmation by DQS Certification Philippines (DQS) came after a series of surveillance and scope extension audits conducted from December 16 to 20, 2024 and was formalised at a ceremony at PAGCOR’s Corporate Office in Pasay City yesterday (April 24).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The surveillance audit included eight locations: PAGCOR’s Main Corporate Office and Casino Filipino branches in Tagaytay, Angeles, Citystate, Cebu, Ilocos Norte, Olongapo, and Bacolod. The scope\u00a0covered ten more sites: Casino Filipino Grand Regal, Malabon Grand, Binondo, Manila Grand Opera, Greenery, Midas, Kartini, Oriental Pearl, Networld and Tropicana in Las Pi\u00f1as.<\/p>\n\n\n

Alejandro Tengco, PAGCOR’s chairman and CEO, said: “Maintaining our ISO 9001:2015 certification is certainly no small feat. This is the result of the collective effort of the entire PAGCOR family, and it reflects our team\u2019s discipline, teamwork and commitment to quality service for the benefit of the government and the Filipino people.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DQS praised PAGCOR’s management for quality improvements and effective risk management. The report highlighted the agency’s operational controls, teamwork across departments and emphasis on employee engagement and customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audit also noted initiatives like new ways to handle cash transactions at gaming tables, the implementation of customer feedback systems and online training for compliance, particularly in anti-money laundering. The certification is valid until March 21, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n
