That&#8217;s a 5.8 per cent decrease\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-tourism-numbers-drop-in-february\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sequentially<\/a>\u00a0and an 11.5 per cent drop year-on-year. There were\u00a0<strong>932,530 overnight visitors<\/strong>, a 17.1 per cent decline compared to last year and an 11.85 per cent drop sequentially. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore\u00a0received 4.31 million visitors in the first quarter, flat against 2024. Some 3.17 million were overnight visitors, down by 3.3 per cent. The average length of stay was 3.49 days, up 1.2 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/02\/singapore-3706832_1280-900x506.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of Singapore.\" class=\"wp-image-777023177\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/02\/singapore-3706832_1280-900x506.jpg 900w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/02\/singapore-3706832_1280.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The country received&nbsp;1.30 million visitors in March.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The largest number of visitors came from China (831,470, up 5.8 per cent when compared to last year and 86.6 per cent recovery of the same period in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic). Indonesia was the second-biggest source market with 640,260 arrivals, down 3.7 per cent to 88.3 per cent of 2019 levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malaysia ranked third, providing 312,220 arrivals, down 0.5 per cent year-on-year but up 10.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Singapore GDP rises in Q1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore\u2019s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has reported that the country\u2019s gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 3.8 per cent&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-gdp-up-2-7-in-q1\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">year-on-year<\/a>&nbsp;in the first quarter of the year. The growth was slower than the 5 per cent increase recorded in the previous quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In quarter-on-quarter terms, the economy contracted by 0.8 per cent after the 0.5 per cent expansion in the fourth quarter of 2024.
