Analysts now expect GGR for 2025 to reach MOP230.8bn (US$28.7bn). That would be a rise of 1.8 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2026,&nbsp;it expects GGR to rise 10.2 per cent year-on-year to MOP254.3bn (US$31.7bn). That&#8217;s based on the view that Chinese property prices will bottom out in the second half of this year, which it sees as a key driver for consumer confidence in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported by Asia Gaming Brief, analysts expect visitor numbers to grow by 2.6 per cent year-on-year in 2025 and 2026. By 2027, CLSA expects visitor numbers to grow by 4.6 per cent, but they would still be 2 per cent lower than in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-visitor-numbers-rose-by-almost-a-quarter-in-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">In 2024<\/a>, Macau received 34,928,650 visitors. The figure was up 23.8 per cent&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-received-28-million-visitors-in-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in year-on-year terms<\/a>&nbsp;but remained below 2019 levels. <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-rises-slightly-in-march\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">In the first quarter<\/a>, GGR reached MOP57.66bn (US$7.21bn). That\u2019s an increase of 0.6 per cent in year-on-year terms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The future of satellite casinos depends on concessionaires, Macau CE says<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief executive (CE)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/sam-hou-fai-named-chief-executive-of-macau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sam Hou Fai<\/a>&nbsp;has said the future of satellite casinos in Macau depends on Macau&#8217;s gaming concessionaires, not the government.
