Philippine gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached PHP372.3bn (US$6.51bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.-\u00a0The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has reported that Philippine gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached a record PHP372.3bn (US$6.51bn) in 2024. That\u2019s a rise of 30.52 per cent in year-on-year terms<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The total rises to PHP410.47bn (US$7.1bn) when PHP38.14bn (US$0.6bn) generated by offshore games is added. Offshore gaming operations were banned at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The land-based casino sector is still the biggest contributor, generating PHP201.83bn (US$3.53bn), or 54.20 per cent of total GGR. PAGCOR-operated casinos added PHP15.97bn (US$280m), representing 4.29 per cent of the GGR share. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alejandro Tengco, chairman and chief executive officer of PAGCOR, said: “This GGR feat underscores the crucial role of licensed casinos in sustaining the growth momentum of the Philippine gaming sector. They remain as our biggest revenue drivers and a major source of government funding for socio-civic programs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The E-Games and E-Bingo sector represented 41.51 per cent at PHP154.5bn (US$2.67bn), a 165 per cent year-on-year increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tengco said: “The significant leap in E-Games and E-Bingo revenues shows that the industry is evolving rapidly, and PAGCOR is committed to ensuring that we keep pace with technological advancements while promoting responsible gaming.”<\/p>\n\n\n

Contributions to nation-building rose 37.61 per cent to PHP68.20bn (US$1.1bn). PAGCOR’s net income jumped by 146 per cent, reaching PHP16.76bn (US$0.2bn). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tengco said: “With a bigger GGR base, we\u2019re looking at a stronger multiplier effect\u2014more jobs, more investments, and more public funds for social programs. The Philippine gaming industry isn’t just growing\u2014it\u2019s evolving, and with it comes greater responsibility and opportunity.”<\/p>\n\n\n
