Casino sales increased by 46.5 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Lotte Tour Development<\/strong>, the operator of Jeju Dream Tower casino, has reported that casino sales rose to KRW32.50bn (US$22.1m) in March. That\u2019s an increase of 46.5 per cent year-on-year<\/a> and 43.7 per cent sequentially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table-game sales amounted to KRW30.93bn (US$21m), up 46.3 per cent in year-on-year terms and 49.3 per cent sequentially. Machine-game sales rose to KRW1.57bn (US$1.1m), up 50.4 per cent in year-on-year terms and 17.4 per cent sequentially.<\/p>\n\n\n

In the hotel sector, Jeju Dream Tower reported sales of KRW4.1bn (US$2.8m). That\u2019s a decline of 25.3 per cent year-on-year and a 9 per cent drop from January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first quarter of the year, casino sales reached KRW84.54bn (US$57.5m), a 20.8 per cent increase from the prior-year period. Hotel sales amounted to KRW4.09bn (US$9.6m), down 15.9 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casino sales for the full year 2024<\/a> rose 93.3 per cent year-on-year<\/a> to KRW294.65bn (US$200.7m)<\/strong>. Casino drop, the amount paid by customers to buy chips for table games, was nearly KRW1.52tn, up 19.2 per cent year-on-year. Hotel revenue stood at KRW84.52bn (US$57.4m), down 7.8 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n
