Singapore.- The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) <\/strong>has reported that the country received 1.38 million visitors<\/strong> in February. That’s a 2.9 per cent decrease sequentially<\/a> and a 15.3 per cent drop in year-on-year terms<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were 1.05 million overnight visitors<\/strong>. That\u2019s a 2.4 per cent decline compared to last year and an 11.8 per cent drop sequentially. The largest number of visitors came from China (267,960, down 18 per cent when compared to last year). Indonesia was the second-biggest source market with 192,600 arrivals, up 1 per cent. Malaysia ranked third, providing 105,740 arrivals, up 5.7 per cent year-on-year.\u00a0Chinese visitors had the longest average stay length at 4.16 days. Across all international source markets, the average was 3.47 days.<\/p>\n\n\n

The STB reported that Singapore\u00a0received 3.01 million visitors in the first two months of the year. That\u2019s an increase of 6.1 per cent when compared to the same period last year and 96.5 per cent of the number for the same period in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic. For 2025, the STB expects international visitor arrivals to reach between 17.0 to 18.5 million, bringing in approximately SG$29.0 to SG$30.5bn in tourism receipts.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t
