Macau.-\u00a0Lei Seak Chio\u00a0<\/strong>has been appointed as\u00a0deputy director of Macau\u2019s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ)<\/strong>. He will take up the role on February 10 for a one-year term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Seak Chio holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering management and a master\u2019s in public administration. Since 2023, he has been employed as an occupational safety official in the Labour Affairs Bureau. He started working there in 2005 as a technical assistant and was later promoted in 2016 to manage a unit that oversees occupational accident inspections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On January 8, the DICJ appointed Lio Chi Chong\u00a0<\/strong>as\u00a0acting director<\/strong> following the departure of former director\u00a0Adriano Ho<\/a>, who was appointed as the new commissioner of Macau Customs under the government of\u00a0Sam Hou Fai<\/a>, who was elected chief executive of Macau last October.
