Macau.- MGM China, in partnership with JCDecaux (Macau)<\/strong>, has launched Macau\u2019s first \u201cDistinctive Smart Bus Shelter\u201d, outside MGM COTAI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located at Avenida da Nave Desportiva right, the bus shelter has a “one-of-a-kind contemporary design featuring a perfect blend of functionality, sustainability, and smart technology that harmonizes with its surroundings.” It is in operation for bus service of routes 50, 701X and N5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The casino operator said this project demonstrates its commitment to “optimise the public\u2019s commute experience in the vicinity of MGM COTAI by providing ultimate comfort, convenience and real-time information to bus passengers.”<\/p>\n\n\n

The bus shelter’s design was generated using artificial intelligence<\/strong>, drawing upon a series of prompts from the MGM Design Team. Following the initial concept generation, further testing and validation were conducted in collaboration with JCDecaux to ensure structural integrity, safety and overall functionality.

MGM China said: “Like other new bus shelters, this bus shelter is equipped with innovative smart features<\/strong> such as digital screens displaying real-time bus arrivals, weather updates, and civil protection messages. For passenger convenience, it provides USB charging ports and enhanced accessibility features including a braille plate for visually impaired passengers and a spacious waiting area designed for those with reduced mobility.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MGM China on track for US$1.1bn in GGR in 4Q24<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Investment bank Jefferies shared a memo on January 14 indicating it expected\u00a0MGM China<\/strong>\u00a0to report a 7 per cent quarter-on-quarter GGR increase to\u00a0HKD8.5bn (US$1.1bn)<\/strong>\u00a0in its fourth-quarter 2024 results. The institution added this would be \u201chigher\u201d than the Macau industry\u2019s anticipated 3 per cent sequential GGR expansion. \u201cWe believe (MGM China) gained market share thanks to strong performance from the VIP segment,\u201d wrote Jefferies analysts Anne Ling and Jingjue Pei. Results are due on\u00a0February 13, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
