Five of the six casino operators have now announced pay rises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.\u00a0MGM China<\/strong>\u00a0has today announced (January 22) a\u00a0salary raise<\/strong>\u00a0for eligible team members, effective March 24. <\/span>The increase will benefit approximately 99 per cent of the workforce<\/strong>. Those earning a monthly salary of MOP16,000 (US$1,994) or less will receive a standard salary adjustment of MOP600 (US$75), reflecting an increase of between 2.5 and 5.5 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pansy Ho<\/strong>, chairperson and executive director of MGM China Holdings Limited said, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our team members for their wholehearted dedication in moving forward hand in hand with the Company. In the new year, MGM will fully support the policy implementation of the SAR Government as always; pragmatically promote the development of all-for-one cultural tourism, while working with the team to continue enriching the essence of Macau as \u2018One Center, One Platform, One Base\u2019.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yesterday (January 21), SJM Resorts<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Melco Resorts & Entertainment\u00a0<\/strong>announced salary increases for employees to take effect on April 1. At SJM, employees earning a monthly salary of MOP16,000 (US$1,995) or below will receive an increase of MOP600 (US$75). Those earning above MOP16,000 (US$1,995) will receive a rise of a 2.5 per cent.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Melco Resorts\u2019 full-time non-management employees earning a monthly base salary (including tips) of up to MOP16,000 (US$1,995) will receive a pay increase of MOP600 (US$75) or 3.8 to 6.5 per cent. Those earning over MOP16,000 will see a 2.5 per cent salary increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG)<\/strong> announced a pay raise from April 1 for senior managers and below. Those who joined the company before January 1 on MOP16,000 a month or below will get MOP600 (about US$75) extra. Those on over MOP16,000 a month ill receive a 2.5 per cent increase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sands China\u00a0<\/strong>announced that from March 1, salaries will increase by 2.5 to 5 per cent, depending on pre-tax monthly wages. Those earning up to MOP16,000 will receive a rise of MOP600. Those with higher salaries will see a 2.5 per cent increase. Employees who have been with the company for one year or more will receive a discretionary bonus equal to one month\u2019s pay. This bonus will be paid on January 27 to non-management team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
