Marcos Jr&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/president-marcos-issues-executive-order-banning-offshore-gambling-operators-in-the-philippines\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ban on offshore gaming operators<\/a> that entered force on December 31, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Remulla, those workers who are still in the country are <strong>people who did not downgrade their visas or leave the Philippines last year<\/strong>, as well as those who downgraded their visas but missed the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"802\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/01\/Jesus-Remulla-802x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-777021737\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/01\/Jesus-Remulla-802x600.jpg 802w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/01\/Jesus-Remulla.jpg 1360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 802px) 100vw, 802px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Justice secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.
