Last year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-sees-record-visitor-numbers-during-october-golden-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Macau saw 932,000 tourists during the holiday<\/a>, averaging 116,000 visitors per day. According to data from the Statistics and Census Service, the previous three highest daily visitor numbers to Macau during an October Golden Week period were in 2019, when 62,100 arrivals were recorded on October 5, 161,600 on October 3 and 159,300 on October 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Macau named Best BT-MICE City at the TTG Travel Awards 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Macau Special Administrative Region (SAR)\u00a0<\/strong>was awarded\u00a0<strong>Best BT-MICE City\u00a0<\/strong>at the 33rd TTG Travel Awards 2024 ceremony and gala dinner, which was held in Bangkok on September 26. It\u2019s the second time in a row that the city has received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cReceiving the \u2018Best Convention City (Asia)\u2019 award highlights that Macau\u2019s exhibition strength and international platform advantages are constantly being consolidated and enhanced,\u201d the government said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the first half of the year,&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-mice-events-up-by-34-5-in-h1\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the number of MICE events<\/a>&nbsp;held in the city was up by 34.5 per cent compared to H1 2022.
