He invoked the \u00a3spirit of the nation&#8217;s founders&#8221; to combat what he said represents &#8220;a serious threat to current and future generations&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said Ministry staff must raise public awareness about the dangers of online gambling and take action against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A week ago Arie said he was working with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/indonesia-tightens-controls-to-curb-online-gambling-transactions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stop the use of payment and banking systems<\/a> for online gambling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also announced plans to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/indonesia-to-restrict-free-vpns-to-curb-online-gambling-access\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">restrict access to free virtual private networks (VPNs)<\/a>\u00a0to prevent access to online gambling.
