The company also reported that<strong> Julian Cook<\/strong>, its current board chair, will cease his executive role and will now be an independent director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walbridge replaces <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/skycity-appoints-brad-burnett-as-interim-ceo-for-new-zealand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Callum Mallett<\/a>, who was acting as interim chief executive officer. He has resumed his previous position as chief operating officer in New Zealand. Meanwhile,<strong> Brad Burnett<\/strong> has left his role as interim chief operating officer in New Zealand and assumed a new position as general manager of gaming in Auckland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June, the Federal Court of Australia approved a <strong>AU$67m (US$44.5m) settlement agreement<\/strong> stemming from civil penalty proceedings initiated by\u00a0<strong>the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC)<\/strong>\u00a0against\u00a0<strong>SkyCity Adelaide\u00a0<\/strong>for breaches of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (AML\/CTF Act). <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/south-australia-to-launch-independent-review-into-skycity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brian Martin AO KC\u2019s independent review<\/a>\u00a0into the suitability of SkyCity Adelaide resumed after being put on hold in February 2023.
