IPI&#8217;s legal representative, <strong>Chuck Choi<\/strong>, made the amended request on the same terms the court previously approved in an interim order authorising <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/nmi-bankruptcy-court-approves-ipi-interim-funding\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an initial withdrawal of US$400,000<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Attorney General\u2019s <strong>Robert Glass Jr.<\/strong>, representing the CNMI, and attorney <strong>Aaron Halegua<\/strong>, representing IPI creditor<strong> Joshua Gray<\/strong>, objected to the revised financing request. <strong>Christopher Wong<\/strong>, the proposed pro hac vice attorney for <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/creditors-oppose-ipi-request-for-debtor-financing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IPI\u2019s creditors<\/a>, requested that IPI present a revised budget to justify the additional funds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judge Manglona indicated that the court is inclined to continue the hearing to allow IPI time to produce a revised budget justifying the additional financing. A hearing is scheduled for June 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CNMI government aims to liquidate all IPI assets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The CNMI government has moved to convert IPI\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/ipi-files-for-bankruptcy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chapter 11 bankruptcy<\/a>\u00a0to Chapter 7, allowing the liquidation of all IPI\u2019s property and assets to settle its debts. Glass Jr\u00a0said IPI lacks the financial resources to continue under Chapter 11, which allows for reorganisation and restructuring.
