The Philippines.-\u00a0The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR)\u00a0<\/strong>has announced that it has granted 40 licences to offshore gaming operators, now referred to as\u00a0internet gaming licensees (IGL)<\/strong>. The regulator said it\u00a0had also issued nine provisional IGLs as of May 15. It comes after PAGCOR’s decision last August to require all Philippine offshore gaming operators, to\u00a0reapply for licences in compliance with revised regulations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In April, Senator\u00a0Risa Hontiveros<\/strong>\u00a0urged\u00a0president\u00a0Marcos to ban offshore gambling operators.
