Northern Mariana Islands.-\u00a0Imperial Pacific International (IPI) <\/strong>director\u00a0Howyo Chi\u00a0<\/strong>has argued that the casino operator should not take the blame for bottles of whiskey that went missing from IPI assets<\/a>\u00a0to\u00a0be auctioned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Receiver Clear Management held an auction and sold most of the liquor. However, the winning bidder discovered that 17 bottles were missing. At the monthly meeting of the Commonwealth Casino Commission (CCC)<\/strong> board, Chi said IPI did not have a key\u00a0to the room where\u00a0receiver Clear Management stored the bottles and that the building has 24-hour security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Joshua Gray<\/a>, an IPI creditor, has asked the federal court to hold IPI and Chi in contempt for failing to comply with a court order to secure IPI\u2019s personal property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile,\u00a0IPI haas applied for Chapter 11 bankruptcy<\/a>.
