She is the first woman to assume the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cooke, from Bathurst, has served on the board since 2015 and as deputy chair since December 2021. She has experience in racing, education, sport, superannuation and not-for-profit sectors. She is chair of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern section) and the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her appointment comes amid a broader restructuring within Racing NSW, with the former minister for gaming and racing and sport and recreation, the Hon\u00a0<strong>Kevin Greene AM<\/strong>, joining as\u00a0an ordinary member of the board for the second time.
