That&#8217;s a rise of 333.8 per cent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-gaming-revenue-down-51-in-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">when compared to 2022.<\/a> December&#8217;s GGR was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-down-17-7-in-november\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">up 15.8 per cent month-on-month<\/a>\u00a0from MOP16.04bn to MOP18.56bn (US$2.3bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rise was attributed to the end of travel and other Covid-19-related restrictions last January. As Macau\u2019s annual GGR exceeded MOP180bn (US$22.45bn), the six city&#8217;s casino operators are to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-casinos-to-increase-non-gaming-investment-if-ggr-reaches-us22-45bn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">increase their pledged non-gaming investment<\/a>\u00a0by 20 per cent.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is due to the new 10-year concession contracts signed between casino operators and government from January 2023.
