Wang Yi, in a statement issued by central government-owned media, Xinhua, on Thursday (December 7), said the objective was to eradicate criminal gangs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cambodia banned online gambling when an agreement with China was signed in March 2019. In the first half of this year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/cambodia-1241-arrested-for-illegal-gambling-in-h1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">police in Cambodia<\/a>\u00a0conducted\u00a0<strong>484 operations\u00a0<\/strong>against illegal gambling leading to<strong>\u00a0the arrest of 1,241 people<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China has also pledged collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/__trashed-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos<\/a> to combat gambling fraud and related crimes, including human trafficking, kidnapping and unlawful detention.
