It posted income of PHP51.66bn (US$906m). That&#8217;s a year-on-year increase of 31.9 per cent, surpassing the government&#8217;s fiscal targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regulator posted revenue of PHP55.95bn (US$980m), up 32.4 per cent year-on-year, and a profit after tax of PHP37.1bn (US$650m), up 42.8 per cent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July, PAGCOR chairman and CEO\u00a0<strong>Alejandro Tengco\u00a0<\/strong>said\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pagcor-reports-net-income-of-us662m-for-h1\" target=\"_blank\">PAGCOR would surpass pre-pandemic revenue<\/a>\u00a0by the end of 2023.\u00a0He also said that PAGCOR is committed to shifting to a purely regulatory role and that the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pagcor-plans-privatisation-of-its-45-casinos-by-2025\" target=\"_blank\">process would take place by the third quarter of 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PAGCOR currently regulates, authorises and licenses gaming in the Philippines but<strong>&nbsp;it also operates over 40 casinos itself<\/strong>.
