Facilitated by\u00a0<strong>the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)<\/strong>, MGTO deputy director<strong>\u00a0Cheng Wai Tong\u00a0<\/strong>and representatives from ten companies participated in the event from August 11 to 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initial day of the event at a 20,000-square-meter exhibition area included a networking session, fostering <strong>dialogue between Macau and Singaporean counterparts<\/strong> focusing on potential collaborative opportunities and shared perspectives on tourism products. The MGTO promoted Macau&#8217;s heritage, events, hotel infrastructure and leisure-centred travel.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore ranks in the top 10 contributors of foreign visitors to Macau. Pre-pandemic in 2019, 115,742 visitors originated from Singapore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cheng Wai Tong\u00a0<\/strong>has forecast that\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-visitor-numbers-on-the-rise-in-august-mgto-says\" target=\"_blank\">daily visitor numbers to Macau in August<\/a>\u00a0will surpass the 89,000 average per day achieved in July. It was reported that\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-airport-traffic-recovers-to-60-of-pre-pandemic-levels\" target=\"_blank\">551,000 passengers used Macau\u2019s international airport in July<\/a>.
