POGO employees are mandated to file a 25 per cent withholding tax on their gross salary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, POGOs contributed PHP3.65bn (US$66.69m) through gaming tax payments, which require them to pay 5 per cent of their gross income. The state-run Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) also imposes regulatory fees of up to 2 per cent on their licensees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finance secretary<strong>\u00a0Benjamin Diokno<\/strong>\u00a0has previously supported a move\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippine-finance-secretary-wants-pogo-ban-despite-potential-revenue-loss\" target=\"_blank\">to ban POGOs<\/a>, despite potential implications for government revenue.
