Illegal online gambling is a profoundly serious matter as it poses an economic and security threat to our country.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added: &#8220;It is our hope that the MACC will continue to take this matter seriously and conduct a thorough investigation. The investigation should be completed as soon as possible, and the politicians involved in the cases prosecuted.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In June,\u00a0home minister <strong>Saifuddin Nasution Ismail<\/strong> said it was\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/malaysian-minister-urges-police-to-name-politicians-involved-in-online-gambling\" target=\"_blank\">the responsibility of the police and the MACC<\/a>\u00a0to disclose the identities of political patrons involved in illegal online gambling syndicates.
