The figure was up 44.5 per cent when compared to the same period last year and 15.2 per cent\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-collects-us613m-in-gaming-tax-revenue-in-april\" target=\"_blank\">when compared to April<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The figure represents nearly half of the gaming tax revenue collected\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-collects-us1-25bn-in-gaming-tax-revenue-for-q1\" target=\"_blank\">in the first three months of the year<\/a>, which was MOP10.11bn (US$1.25bn). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-up-5-7-month-on-month-in-may\" target=\"_blank\">May<\/a>, Macau reported its highest monthly gross gaming revenue <strong>since January 2020<\/strong>, before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic at MOP15.57bn (US$1.93bn). The figure was\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-ggr-up-15-6-month-on-month-in-april\" target=\"_blank\">up 5.7 per cent when compared to April<\/a>\u00a0and up 365.9 per cent from May 2022.
