In a statement, it has reminded the public that<strong> unauthorised gambing <\/strong>is a criminal offence and also exposes them to the risk of being victimised by unscrupulous groups. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regulator reiterated its commitment to responsible licensed gaming. The warning comes after senator&nbsp;<strong>Ronald \u2018Bato\u2019 dela Rosa<\/strong>, chairman of the Philippine Senate\u2019s Public Order and Dangerous Drugs Committee, has suggested that&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philippines-senator-proposes-special-area-for-pogos\" target=\"_blank\">offshore gaming operators (POGOs)<\/a>&nbsp;should be allowed to operate in a controlled area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senate Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Senator<strong> Sherwin Gatchalian<\/strong>, has recommended the immediate banning of POGOs due to cases of kidnappings, murder, coercion, illegal detentions and illegal possessions of firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In March,<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pagcor-cancels-contract-with-pogo-auditor\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;PAGCOR terminated the contract of a third-party auditor<\/a>&nbsp;responsible for auditing POGOs.
