Officers also seized Rs 4.4 lakh, a car and bikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in India, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/india-3-arrested-in-connection-with-alleged-illegal-gambling\" target=\"_blank\">three people<\/a>&nbsp;were arrested this week in Mangaluru, Karnataka, after police received a tipoff about alleged&nbsp;<strong>matka&nbsp;<\/strong>gambling taking place on the ground floor of a building. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matka is a form of gambling that originated in India and is popular in some other parts of South Asia.
