Describing gambling-related harm as a &#8220;silent epidemic,&#8221; the paper research concludes that Western Sydney accounts for <strong>63 per cent<\/strong> of electronic gaming machine losses in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That figure is disproportional because Western Sydney has 52 per cent of Sydney\u2019s population, the paper says. It indicated that the highest daily electronic gaming machine losses were in Canterbury-Bankstown (AU$1.8m), followed by Fairfield (AU$1.7m) and Cumberland (AU$1.2m).
