That&#8217;s around 20,000 more than the amount\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-sees-over-71000-visitors-on-second-day-of-chinese-new-year\" target=\"_blank\">reported the previous day<\/a>\u00a0when the city\u00a0<strong>received 71,672<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>tourists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) had expected\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-expects-50k-daily-tourists-during-chinese-new-year\" target=\"_blank\">40,000 to 50,000 arrivals per day<\/a>\u00a0during the holiday, which ends on Sunday, February 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ho Iat Seng<\/strong>, Macau&#8217;s chief executive, suggested the figure, higher than expected, showed Macau had begun to come out of the epidemic.
