{"id":777001445,"date":"2023-01-11T12:54:54","date_gmt":"2023-01-11T15:54:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=777001445"},"modified":"2026-04-23T01:37:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T04:37:14","slug":"australia-stake-com-founders-are-being-sued","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/australia-stake-com-founders-are-being-sued","title":{"rendered":"Australia: Stake.com founders are being sued"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani allegedly cut out Christopher Freeman from the online casino enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.- Australia&#8217;s youngest billionaire, <strong>Ed Craven<\/strong> (27), and <strong>Bijan Tehrani<\/strong> (28) his business partner in <strong>Stake.com<\/strong>, an online casino enterprise, are being sued for more than US$500m by <strong>Christopher Freeman<\/strong>, a childhood friend and ex-colleague.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to court documents, Stake.com founders are accused of cutting Freeman out of their business and also are accused of <strong>allowing illegal crypto gambling<\/strong> on their casino platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freeman and Tehrani grew up together in Connecticut, US, and developed the business <strong>Primedice<\/strong>, a cryptocurrency dice gambling website along with Ed Craven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But when the pair wanted to develop another business called Stake.com in Australia and wanted Freeman to relocate he refused and Tehrani and Craven moved and founded the online casino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Tehrani and Craven, Freeman did not want to be involved as he believed there was too much competition in that arena already.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Freeman claims he was unfairly cut out of the business and is suing the pair for US$588m in damages in <strong>New York&#8217;s Southern District Court<\/strong>.
