{"id":7624,"date":"2020-06-26T20:58:12","date_gmt":"2020-06-26T20:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=7624"},"modified":"2026-04-24T04:06:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:06:47","slug":"four-philippine-casinos-reopen-with-capacity-limits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/four-philippine-casinos-reopen-with-capacity-limits","title":{"rendered":"Four Philippine casinos reopen with capacity limits"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>PAGCOR has confirmed it allowed four companies outside Metro Manila to resume operations at the beginning of June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Philippine.- Four casinos located away from Metro Manila have been allowed to reopen with capacity restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) confirmed that four casinos were authorised to operate at 50 per cent capacity as of June 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The four casinos are Bacolor city on Negros Island in Western Visayas; Iloilo city in the island of Panay; General Santos city on Mindanao island; and Ilocos Norte in Luzon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pagcor-gaming-casino-operations-manila\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Casinos in Metro Manila remain closed.<\/strong><\/em><\/a> The decision was taken by PAGCOR after Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte imposed a \u201ccommunity quarantine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The suspension applied to land-based casinos, both PAGCOR-owned and operated as well as all licensed and integrated resort casinos, electronic game, bingo, sports betting, poker and slot machine clubs, and other activities regulated by PAGCOR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The regulator said the opening of venues is based on the classification of each region by the national government according to prevalence of Covid-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, PAGCOR has said that Metro Manila resorts are checking technical issues to prepare to reopen when the authorities allow it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PAGCOR has confirmed it allowed four companies outside Metro Manila to resume operations at the beginning of June.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":7626,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"PAGCOR has authorized four casinos outside Metro Manila to resume operations at 50% capacity as of June 8, following a \"community quarantine\" imposed by President Duterte.
