{"id":7485,"date":"2020-06-22T21:29:44","date_gmt":"2020-06-22T21:29:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=7485"},"modified":"2026-04-24T04:14:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:14:45","slug":"casinos-to-reopen-in-western-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/casinos-to-reopen-in-western-australia","title":{"rendered":"Casinos to reopen in Western Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Casinos and gaming rooms will reopen in time for the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.- Casinos in Western Australia will reopen on Saturday (June 27) as the state eases restrictions and enters phase 4 of its emergence from lockdown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week, <strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/south-australia-opens-casinos-and-gaming-rooms\" target=\"_blank\">South Australia<\/a><\/em><\/strong> announced the return of bars, clubs and gaming rooms as well as casinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement from the Western Australian government means major sports will be able to return, and entertainment venues will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casinos gaming floors will be permitted to reopen with regular cleaning and safety measures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another change will be for local food and beverage outlets that will no longer need to require registers of customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The state expects to move into phase 5 on July 18, at which stage venues will be able to operate at full capacity and there will be no longer be a rule of 2 square metres per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening of borders with other states to allow travel without restrictions or quarantine requirements will not be permitted until the following phase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Casinos and gaming rooms will reopen in time for the weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":7487,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Casinos and gaming rooms in Western Australia are set to reopen on June 27, following similar announcements in South Australia, marking a significant easing of lockdown restrictions.
