Sports betting is among several businesses that have already been allowed to resume activity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Singapore Pools has resumed online operations for horse racing and other sports betting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although outlets remain closed for the audience, bets can be made via the website, phone or mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government agency said on its website: \u201cThis is because community infection rates have generally remained stable, cases in migrant worker dormitories have declined, and there are no new large clusters emerging.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of June 18, further activities will be allowed to resume as long as social distancing measures are taken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Retail businesses will be allowed to open as well as outlets for dine-in food and beverage. The one-meter distance between individuals is still required and groups cannot exceed five people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Large venue events for conferences, exhibitions, concerts and trade fairs, and entertainment venues such as bars, nightclubs, karaoke outlets, cinemas, theatres will not be allowed to reopen yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government has also decided to \u201cprogressively re-open to international travel\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since March incoming travellers have been required to serve a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN), but from June 18 travellers coming to Singapore from Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong, Japan, Macao, Mainland China, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, and who were in those countries for at least 14 consecutive days prior to entry, will no longer have to serve the SHN<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All international travellers will continue to be tested for Covid-19 a few days before the end of the SHN period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, recently the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) in Singapore has said it is looking at the possibility of <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/singapore-rules-casinos\">introducing stricter controls for casinos.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The government has also relaxed travel restrictions for citizens of certain countries and will allow dine-in outlets to operate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":7296,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Singapore is progressing to Phase 2 of its COVID-19 easing plan, allowing online sports betting via Singapore Pools to resume and relaxing travel restrictions for citizens from specific countries.
